Bringing new generations closer to the employment market, offering them suitable and stimulating working conditions with regular contracts, is one of the most ambitious goals we have set ourselves in recent years. In terms of attracting talent, in the four-year period 2016-2019, we launched various recruiting initiatives such as the ‘European Packaging project’ and the ‘Sirap Academy’, which involved Italian and European universities.
The selection process identified a lot of young talent, both European and non-European, who received specific training on Sirap packaging at the company Academy and technical training provided by external instructors on subjects such as safety, project management, lean management, sales and negotiation techniques.
Their paths continued with team working, outdoor activities and the assignment of individual projects. A young talent had three months, with the help of a tutor, to achieve specific objectives set for each individual project. Following a presentation to the Steering Committee and the Group CEO, the best projects received awards and the young people involved were hired.
